Linking your account to the TendersAlerts Telegram bot lets you receive new tender alerts directly in the Telegram app, with the ability to view details, study the tender on the web, and request the tender specifications document (TSD) as a PDF.

The system offers **two methods** to link and verify your account:

- **Method 1 - Quick link connection**: the fastest and easiest, with a single tap.
- **Method 2 - Manual code verification**: a practical fallback when automatic linking isn't possible.

Both methods lead to the same result: a verified Telegram account that receives your alerts.

## What you need before starting

- An active TendersAlerts account.
- The **Telegram** app installed on your phone or device.
- Access to the Telegram connect dialog from your account settings or the "Connect Telegram" button.

When you open the connect dialog and your account isn't linked yet, you'll see the following options:

**Important note**: The send-code button in the next step won't be enabled until the system detects that you pressed Start (i.e., after the chat is linked).

### Step 3: Send and enter the verification code

After the chat is linked, request the code then enter it for final verification.

**How to use**:

- Tap **"Send code to my Telegram"**; you'll receive a 6-digit code in the bot chat.
- Enter the code in the dedicated field.

- Tap the **Verify** button.
- When the code is correct, your account is verified and switches to the **connected** state.

**Note**: The code is valid for a limited time. If it expires, tap "Send code" again to get a new one.

## After linking is complete

Once your account is verified (via either method), the "connected" state appears and includes:

- A green indicator confirming successful linking.
- The linked Telegram username.
